About Dennis D. Hunt
Dennis D. Hunt is the creator of The Hank Stone Mysteries, a series of hard-boiled detective novels inspired by classic crime fiction, film noir, and the gritty private-eye stories of another era. His books follow Hank Stone through smoky casinos, desert roads, back rooms, and dangerous investigations where the line between justice and survival is rarely clean.
A lifelong storyteller and fan of classic detective fiction, Dennis writes about flawed people, difficult choices, loyalty, betrayal, and the quiet moments that often reveal more than the gunfire. His stories are rooted in the atmosphere of the 1960s and 1970s, with Las Vegas providing the perfect backdrop for Hank Stone’s world of neon, shadows, and trouble.
Dennis lives in Amherst, Virginia, where he and his wife, Cathy, operate the Dogwood Cafe. When he isn’t writing, he can usually be found at the café, enjoying good conversation, planning the next Hank Stone mystery, or spending time with Cathy and his dog, Cooper.
